The UK National Lockdown led to a complete cancellation rate among our customers. In response to the global pandemic, we took proactive measures by acquiring a building plot in Newton Abbot, completing the purchase on April 1st, 2020. This endeavour became known as "The Lockdown Project."

However, navigating through the challenges presented by COVID-19 proved to be an ongoing struggle. The building process on-site faced consistent staffing isolations, while communication within the business-to-business realm was disrupted due to remote work arrangements. Securing outside contractors for utility services became a lengthy process, and the financial sector's reluctance to lend under normal circumstances due to the pandemic resulted in untenable cash flow positions. These obstacles inevitably led to significant delays and escalated financial and material costs.

Despite these hurdles, we are immensely proud to announce the completion of the project. The resulting dwelling is a testament to our resilience and commitment to excellence, boasting a uniquely quirky design and exceptional quality. Our Lockdown Project has transformed into a stunning four-bedroom detached property nestled in the heart of Newton Abbot.

Undoubtedly, this has been the most intricate and challenging build we have ever undertaken, with numerous obstacles to overcome along the way. Nevertheless, we are thrilled to see our vision come to fruition and are happy sharing the fruits of our labor with our clients and community.
